Arnot Forest is an excellent place to ski if you want to be in the woods for only an hour or two. Access this area from either Irish Hill Road of Jackson Hollow Road. From Ithaca take Route 13 south. Go past the first Newfield turnoff at the top of the hill to the second Newfield turnoff at the bottom of the hill. Turn left off Route 13 and then right (south) onto Main Street. As you continue south take the left fork, Van Kirk Road. Continue south on Van Kirk Road and then use this map.
